James Elmsworth believed no disagreement could survive a good meal, and he cooked to prove it. His harvest table seated twenty-six, and every reunion ended with relatives lingering over his cider cake long after the speeches.
The long-table suppers in our galleries are James’s legacy. He taught the family that traditions are just recipes repeated with love — and he left the recipes behind.
